Content Description This small collection consists of 16 manuscript pharmaceutical prescriptions with occasional typescript comments. The cards and the comments were attributed to Battin and Lunger Pharmacists, Philadelphia, by the donor. The physicians who signed the prescriptions include J. Harold Austin, Radcliffe Cheston, J. Clinton Foltz, Alvin R. McCarthy[?], John F. McCloskey, Frank M. Ramsey, Edward G. Rhoads, Fred A. Sutcliff, and Josephus T. Ullom.

Scope and Contents The Charles H. Clark, Apothecary, Collection contains prescriptions written by many physicians of the Center City and West Philadelphia areas which were filled by Charles H. Clark at his Philadelphia pharmaceutical firm. The prescriptions are filed in sequence by number assigned as filled; the sequence approximates chronological order. The prescriptions date from February through December, 1878, and February, 1906, through October, 1908.
